FreePaysTheSoul is a recording artist from Northern Virginia. Born in Lima, Peru spending seven years there until moving to the United States.
Since Kindergarten, FreePay has been pulled to performing and has always been drawn to music . Growing up as a little boy he listened to his mother play a genre of Peruvian music that exhibits influences from African, European, and Andean music called “musica criolla”. His mother wouldn't do any household tasks without listening to Eva Ayllon, a Peruvian rooted composer and singer, who is one of the country's living legends. FreePay was also heavily impacted by his grandfather “Romulo Alberto Grados” who would sing and also play the guitar at friends and family gatherings. Once in America, FreePay was introduced to other musical influencers, like Michael Jackson and various 90's alternative rock bands. When FreePay graduated high school he started where any young artist would- performing at available open mic nights in the Northern Virginia area like Tally-Ho Virginia, Downtown Salon, Balls Bluff Tavern, Jimmys Old Town Tavern and then moved to a steady gig at newly opened Bunkers Sports Cafe. FreePay and his band debuted at The State Theater, a well known live venue for up and coming artist, and now legends, in Falls church Virginia. FreePay and his band worked hard to breakout and play at the 9:30 Club, one of the most popular and iconic concert venues in Washington DC. In 2016-2017 FreePay was able to get back into the studio and has been actively creating and collaborating with musicians in the Northern Virginia and Washington DC area since. His mindset is now focused on collaborating and performing with up and coming musicians. His authentic and raw improv freestyles mixing new alternative rock of today, Jazz, with hints of Hip-Hop & R&B. FreePay is influenced by the growing majestic - edm - alterantive - pop genres of music, as well as artist like; (Citizens Cope, 6Lack, Post Malone, Honne, Masego, Skizzy Mars, Majid Jordan, Noah Slee, Tool, Staind, and John Mayer). |

In late 2022, FreePaysTheSoul announced the upcoming release of his second official EP project, Pivoting Emotions.
