Vision over Money. Value over success!
This word to me is like a loaded gun, its everywhere, unchecked, and all of it is self imposed. Anxiety levels are continually increasing throughout the world as people are confronted with constant and profound changes in doubts in their lives. The formula for generating an anxious state of mind in human beings is really simple. Mario Alonso Puig tells us that "All you have to do is is imagine that in the future a series of problems will appear and that we are going to be unable to solve them." How many of us have seen this quote by Lao TZU before? With Anxiety being the focus I want to entertain you with a different quote and leave you with a final thought. Rene Descartes, the great 17th-century French mathematician and philosopher, wrote a letter, at the end of his life from which this original comments is taken: "My life has been full of misfortunes, many of which never took place" There is nothing wrong with having a clear vision of where you want to be or what phenomenal feelings you expect to have and experience when you finally reach your goals in the future, furthermore, if your goals have anything to do with money, getting out of debt, saving up for a house, etc just know this:
You can walk into any financial institution and get money. Money is replaceable. You can have it today, lose it tomorrow, have it again the day after. What else can you say that about? -You can't replace a person or an experience -You cant precisely duplicate a sunset or a good hearty laugh. -You can't reclaim even a single moment of your life once its slipped away; wasted time is gone forever. Full Circle Now: Yes you can walk into any financial institution and get money, but there is not ONE financial institution that will lend out TIME. It seems crystal clear that time is much more valuable than money. Yet people tend to live as though the opposite were true; as though tomorrow or the next year are soon enough for self-knowledge and self-fulfillment, but money must come today. As if dreams can wait but a paycheck can't. There are, of course, many situations in which a pay check can't wait. If there is real urgency for basic needs, then making money, by necessity, becomes the best use of ones time. But how do we define those "basic needs"? This is a question that goes to the heart of the second reason many people don't take advantage of the gift of TIME: They have distorted and inflated idea of what they need, as distinct from what they want. Don't let your unnecessary wants bring you anxiousness and flip the way you think of money and time. FreePaystheSoul
