When returning from my trip to visit my family in Peru I couldn't wait to perform live again this time with my grandfathers guitar. The guitar was something very special to my grandfather and it got passed down to my uncle Benjamin when my grandfather passed away. My uncle has passed on this family treasure to me and now I carry the torch forward. This guitar means alot to me because I know his soul still remains inside this guitar and his influence and life will now continue to carry on. I was lucky enough to have Jorge honor his presence and talent being able to perform and play on my grandfathers guitar. ​Visiting my family in Peru this year was very special for me. When my grandfather died my uncle Benjamin inherited my grandfathers guitar. My grandfather truly enjoyed playing and singing with his guitar. In my stay in Peru my Uncle and I cleaned up my grandfathers guitar, restringing it and such. Once strung I got to play and sing his guitar in his studio side of the house where the acoustics are very well heard. This is a recording of that genuine moment caught in "Lima, Peru". |
